About the Property

Owen’s Mere was a gift to the trust from Charles A. and Mabel D. Owen. The main feature is the man made pond over one-half acre in size, created by an earthen dam on King’s Brook. The dam on the west side has had a large number of small and medium sized trees removed to preserve its integrity. Large rhododendrons growing somewhat back from the south shore were planted quite a few years ago by Margaret Taylor.
